Tuition is due on the 1st of the month and late after the 5th.
If tuition is late, a $10 fee will be added to your account.
Returned check fee is $10.
If a returned check results in a late payment both the late fee and returned check fee will apply.
Small Fry accepts checks, Master Card, or Visa.
There is a one time family registration fee of $20, which is due when registering.
If your tuition falls 2 months behind, your child will not be pulled for class.
We do not prorate tuition for isolated absences or vacations.
We do prorate your first and last month of tuition.
There is no prorating for holidays. Tuition is based upon an average of 4 classes per month.
Tuition will remain the same if there are 3, 4, or 5 classes in the month.
We require 30 days notice when stopping enrollment and billing.
Tuition will be charged until 30 days after you have informed administration of the change.
To implement a withdrawal notice call or email our office.
Telling your weekly dance teacher about a withdrawal is not sufficient. Please contact us in the Small Fry office.
We are not affiliated with any of our participating schools, billing and withdrawal notices must be handled independently.
Your preschool director does not inform us of enrollment or schedule changes.
We enforce this policy consistently with each Small Fry family. Out of fairness to all our participants this notice will
not be waived for any reason.
Classes run year round. We do not have sessions.
If your child's school is closed on your class day, we will attempt to schedule a school wide make up.
If the teacher is absent, we will either schedule a make up class or credit your account.
If we need to change or move your child's class we will give 30 days notice and check family availability.
If you are intending to drop class because of an extended absence, and there is a waiting list at your school,
you will be expected to wait for the next available position.
To hold your spot during a break or vacation you must continue paying monthly tuition.
We do allow make up classes at our Foster City studio.
Dress Code/Foot ware
Dress code is open, but choices for class should allow dancers to move and stretch.
No jeans please.
Students may wear dance leotards or dresses but they must be dressed before class begins.
For on site preschool classes, It is best if the dancer wears his or her dance clothing to school on the
appropriate day of the week.
On site preschool dancers must have shoes (dance shoes or street shoes) on their feet at all times.
Please label all dance bags, clothes, and shoes with your child's first and last name.
Although we will do our best to manage dance gear, Small Fry is not responsible for lost items.
SFDC Level Up ballet classes do have a dress code. Contact directors for details.
Parents are allowed and encouraged to watch class.
When observing a class parents are not allowed to give corrections. Please be respectful of the class and the teacher.
Questions or comments should be addressed after class.
Studio Music and Movement classes require a parent or a caretaker to move with the dancer.
Studio Dance and Performance classes for ages 2-4 have flexible parent involvement guidelines.
Parents may dance with their child, watch on the side of the dance space, or watch from the lobby.
Studio Dance and Performance classes for age 3-5 require that the dancers participate in class independently.
This does include the initial visit and any transition needs. No parents in the dance space during 3-5 year old classes.
Students will not be allowed to dance on full pointe. Preschool students lack the bone structure to support walking on the
tips of their toes. This movement could be stressing and damaging to their bodies. We will redirect dancers who perform
this move during class and we highly recommend having a consistent response at home as well.
