What is Small Fry Dance Club?

SFDC was founded by Jana Chapeton in early 2007. We have had 1000 plus students come through the program at over 20 different preschools. All of our teachers have extensive education and experience teaching dance, performance, and motor skills to preschool and school age students. We offer kids exposure to different dance disciplines while helping to develop their motor skills.

Our classes are held on site at various preschools all over the Bay Area.We also have our own dance studio that is open to the public in Foster City, Ca.

Music and Movement Classes

Music & Movement, our introductory class, is designed for walking toddlers. This class is focused on exposure and exploration. Weekly exercises include warm-up, creative movement, dancing with props, and taking turns. Our new Music & Movement curriculum, defined and developed by Rosemary Robertson is called, BodyLanguage©. This phase of growth is defined by language development and our goal is to embrace and enhance the rapid verbal communication changes using movement. Dance and Performance Classes

Dance & Performance is a survey style class designed for preschool age dancers. Weekly lesson plans include The Brain Dance, MotorMuscles© themes, creative movement, meditation, and our performance curriculum. Dancers enrolled in our Dance & Performance classes are eligible to participate in our bi-annual company performances. Beginning Ballet Technique

For dancers 5-7 years old who are ready for a more serious, structured class. We will set a foundation for ballet- basic technique and vocabulary, flexibility and strength, and expression. We will also learn about some of the classical and romantic ballets, as well as more contemporary ballet. It's a 45 minute class on Saturday afternoons.This class is only offered in our Foster City Studio Location. Register Online Today

Class Pricing

Classes are on going. We do not have sessions. We charge a monthly tuition fee based on an average of four classes per month. Some months there will be 5 classes, sometimes 3 depending on the month, but the tuition will not change. There is also a one time family registration fee of $20. Meaning you can start and stop or bring in siblings without paying it again.

30min class = $30/mo
45min class = $45/mo
60min class = $60/mo
